Yes, there are tons of alternative ways to do things that make learning task faster, easier, and more fun (In fact, learning should be fun). I am pretty sure you have no clue these hacks exist. 

Here are some of the most popular educational hacks that will save your kids time and help them get things done without breaking a sweat.

Hack 1. Apply Colour To Same Notebooks

Does your kid have a bunch of notebooks that all look the same? Color the page ends of each book with a different coloured sketch pen. Better still, you could write the name of the subject by the side of the book. This will help your kids easily recognise the different subject books in their bag or on the shelf and bring a great pop of colour to their study space!

Hack 2. Erase With Bread/Rubber Band

Your kid has lost their eraser again and needs to rectify an error in their assignment. Just roll up a small piece of bread as an eraser and watch the pencil marks fade away. Funny enough, this method was the primary option for wiping out pencil errors before the invention of erasers.  

If you haven’t got any bread, find a rubber band and tie it to your pencil to use as an eraser.

Hack 3. Use Google Scholar For Relevant Information

To get more relevant information for your kid’s essays, use Google Scholar instead of Google. You’ll find more reliable and relevant resources for your kid’s assignments there other than general blogs from people. You could also teach your kids how to use the site to become a pro when searching for information.

Hack 4. Aid Comprehension With Diagrams And Tables

When revising notes with your kids, get them to draw tables and diagrams to explaining specific topics to them; it helps increase their ability to recall and memorise.

Hack 5. Leave Few Blank Pages Before Starting A Notebook

If you’ve got kids in higher classes where they write many notes, get your kids to leave the first few pages blank when starting a new notebook. The pages can later be used to create a handy table of contents to find notes easily during exam time.

It can also be used for writing essential points and formula to remember easily.

Hack 6. Use Google Translate To Proofread Essays

It can be pretty difficult to spot errors after writing an essay so, one way to easily spot mistakes is to proofread by copy-pasting the entire text to Google Translate and listen to it. Listening makes it easier to spot errors and find mistakes.

Hack 8. Break A Pencil To Get Two

My kids needed to complete a drawing during their online class, but we had just one pencil left. So, rather than rushing to buy a new one, I simply broke the only pencil left into two and sharpened the other one. Voila, an extra pencil is here. This looks simple, right? There will always be that time when your kids will need a pencil urgently, and you would wonder if someone is trading the dozens of pencils you purchased at the beginning of the term for some chocolates. Lol, but don’t fret; this hack saves time.

Being productive is not only defined by the amount of time invested in a particular work; a combination of simple and easy steps can also produce expected results. We don’t necessarily have to abide by strict rules if other ways work and produce the same result.
